So on this day after Thanksgiving, a day of-- yeah, you guessed it-- giving thanks, I wonder what in the world is next? I won't bother you with all that I'm thankful for-- it's just the usual stuff everyone else says anyway.
All the experts say the economy is in the tank. We've (and by we, I in no way mean me, myself, or I, but the American electorate) have elected a modern day Robinhood (sorry, but I'd rather have Kevin Costner in that role, not POTUS). I do wish BO the best. Afterall, it's the lives of 300+ million people that he has in his hands, basically. He, in my opinion, can't bring prosperity to all of us, but he can certainly put us all in the perverbial toilet. That is not my wish, I do not want to say, I told you so. I can't help but fear that in 1,514 days that is exactly what will happen.
In the meantime, all we can do is go about living. I am told that shopping early this morning was just as busy last year. That's a good thing. My Christmas won't be much different than any from the past (other than traveling to see a new nephew). I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm thankful that things haven't changed that much for me. Maybe that is a little different than everybody else.
